Recently opening in the heart of Fortitude Valley, Short Grain by MB is an innovative new restaurant by celebrated chef Martin Boetz feauturing Thai cuisine.

The restaurant is located in the historic Stewart & Hemmant building on the corner of Marshall and McLachlan Sts and appears on the northbound tunnel exit to the Story Bridge.

The original building was constructed as a factory in 1898 for clothing manufacturers Stewart and Hemmant and has evolved over time to house a series of businesses.

The current development has seen a complete renovation of the building to house several hospitality operators and office facilities on the upper level.

The new Short Grain by MB space features the amazing original brickwork, warehouse-high ceilings, and the huge windows looking over Marshall and McLachlan streets.

The dining space continues the timber theme with a solid European Oak floor and wooden tables with minimal settings that enhance the impact of the inspirational Thai dishes that Boetz is famous for.

Supplied by Innerspace, the Short Grain by MB space features the Hollywood Chairs and Stools by Australian design company Go Home.

From designer Ben McCarthy, Hollywood is designed after the iconic Hollywood director's chair and perfect for workplace, hospitality and residential spaces.
