The Sunshine Coast Council building was unveiled to the coastal community in December 2022 and forms part of a collective vision to create a modern regional civic, business and commercial heart that is welcoming and accessible to the community.

The vision was to create a built form of enduring beauty and civic significance that represents the region and its climate.

Designed after the Glasshouse Mountains and rocky outcrops of the region, the building rises from the Maroochydore coastal plain and adjoining urban square with landscaping a key feature of the building reflecting the native flora of the region.

Comprising 9400m2 nla over 10 storeys, the program of the building is aligned into a single form of 3 elements comprising the ground floor, podium and tower.

Innerspace was engaged by Cottee Parker to provide a selection of high quality workplace products to meet the exacting brief of the end client.

Through the consultation process, Innerspace engaged directly with the teams from cottee parker and SCC to provide solutions from a range of local and international products.

This resulted in a high quality, energetic workplace that reflects the contemporary governance and working modes of Sunshine Coast Council.
