950mm x 950mm / Watercolour & Silk Print

Artist Statement

This is the first of a series of paintings about places in Australia. I love aerials, I love site plans. This is a combination of the two.

This painting was printed onto silk and made into luxury silk scarves suitable for the tourist market and for those who love our city and appreciate a sense of place. It is semi abstract with the small squares representing the houses and the larger square representing buildings.

The snaking Brisbane River is the exact colour as seen on Google Earth.

It is an abstract extension of the drawings I do as an architect, in particular site plans.
